Each day Rather unlocks one new "Would You Rather" question. Pick option A or B — once you answer, you'll see how your pick compares to everyone else who answered.
Rather keeps track of how many days in a row you've answered. Check your current streak from your Profile tab — answering each day's question keeps it going.
Before you see how a friend answered, you can guess which option they picked. Rather keeps score on how good your predictions are over time.
With Rather Gold Monthly, you can send a friend your own custom "would you rather" using "Ask Your Friends" — no waiting for the daily question.
Send or accept a friend request from the Friends tab. Once you're connected, you'll see each other's answers, streaks, and reactions.
A Circle is a group of friends — great for a family, a friend group, or a team. Circles get their own shared predictions and activity feed.
Friends and Circles sync through iCloud, so make sure you're signed into iCloud on your device with a working internet connection. It can take a minute for a new connection or reaction to sync between devices.
Rather Gold has two tiers in the same subscription group, so you're only ever on one at a time. Both tiers unlock streak-freeze and Friends' Answers Today instantly (no ad), and extend your Rivalry agreement history from 7 to 30 days. Monthly additionally unlocks "Ask Your Friends," letting you send a friend your own custom would-you-rather.
Annual is the lower-priced entry tier. Monthly costs more per year but is the only tier that includes "Ask Your Friends." You can switch tiers any time from the paywall — StoreKit handles the change automatically.
Subscriptions are billed and managed entirely through your Apple ID. On your device, go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions to view, change, or cancel your Rather Gold subscription at any time.
Try closing and reopening Rather first — pending purchases are checked automatically on launch. If it's still not unlocked, use "Restore Purchases" on the Rather Gold paywall, or contact support below with your Apple ID email and roughly when you subscribed.
Check that notifications are allowed for Rather in iOS Settings → Notifications → Rather. If they're on and you still don't get one, try toggling the reminder off and back on from within the app.
Rather runs on iPhone and requires a recent version of iOS. If the app won't open or crashes on launch, make sure you're on the latest available iOS update and the latest version of Rather from the App Store.
